
On the afternoon of August 3, 2026, the Zhejiang Methanol-Hydrogen Marine Industry Technology Innovation Alliance was officially established in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, beside Nanhu Lake. Initiated by YADA Green Energy Solutions, the alliance brings together more than 30 organizations across the marine industry chain, including ship design, power systems, fuel supply, shipbuilding, shipping, finance, and research institutions. Its establishment marks a new stage of coordinated development across the full industrial chain of Zhejiang's methanol-hydrogen marine industry.

The initiative is a positive response to the requirements of the Opinions of the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport on Promoting the Green and Low-Carbon Transformation of the Shipping Industry, which calls for support in establishing industry alliances.
Jiang Zhengui, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang Intelligent Manufacturing Expert Committee; Zheng Huiming, Chairman of the Zhejiang Society of Shipbuilding Engineering; Li Renxin, President of the Zhejiang Shipbuilding Industry Association; and Dai Ming, Vice Chairman of the Jiaxing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, attended the founding ceremony.
The event also featured a series of keynote presentations. Li Kun, Director of the Professional Technical Committee of the Ship Center at the China Waterborne Transport Research Institute, Zhang Yi, Deputy Director of the Transportation Development Research Center at the China Academy of Transportation Sciences, and Li Zhengjian, Chief Expert of the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry, delivered presentations on methanol fuel applications, the integration of transportation and energy, and the opportunities and challenges facing green shipping.
The methanol-hydrogen marine industry covers a wide range of areas, including ship design, power systems, fuel supply, inspection and certification, bunkering infrastructure, and operation and maintenance. With a long industrial chain and high coordination requirements, it is difficult for a single company to develop the entire value chain independently.
The establishment of the alliance is a systematic response to these industry challenges.
The alliance will focus on key technology development, industrial chain integration, and collaboration among industry, universities, research institutions, and end users. It aims to help Zhejiang's methanol-hydrogen marine industry move from pilot projects to large-scale development and industry leadership.
At the founding ceremony, Xiang Guangqing, Chairman of YADA Green Energy Solutions, was elected Chairman of the alliance.
In his inaugural speech, Xiang Guangqing introduced the alliance's "1234" strategy:
Build a national hub for the development of methanol-hydrogen marine vessels.
Technology innovation and application scenarios.
Development of standards and regulations, improvement of bunkering infrastructure, and innovation of business models.
Government leadership, enterprise leadership, support from academia and research institutions, and financial support.
"Methanol-hydrogen marine vessels are a system project. No single company can independently build the entire value chain. This is the original purpose of establishing the alliance—to bring all parties across the industrial chain together, remove bottlenecks, connect gaps, and solve key challenges," said Xiang Guangqing.

According to the alliance, its initial work will focus on the following areas:
Prioritize the development of group standards covering methanol-hydrogen vessel design, construction, inspection, bunkering, operation, and maintenance.
Organize member companies and institutions to jointly apply for provincial and national research projects.
Actively participate in the development of relevant standards under the Maritime Safety Administration of the Ministry of Transport's Action Plan for Accelerating the Development of Technical Standards for Green and Intelligent Ships (2026–2030).
On the same day as the alliance's establishment, YADA Green Energy Solutions also launched three new inland-waterway methanol fuel supply systems: tank-container type, skid-mounted type, and methanol-electric type.
The three systems are designed to meet the diverse needs of inland vessels ranging from 100-ton-class vessels to 10,000-ton-class vessels.
The systems feature comprehensive safety protection and an intelligent ship-shore collaborative management platform, enabling digital management throughout the entire product lifecycle.

During the founding ceremony, YADA Green Energy Solutions signed strategic cooperation agreements with Shandong Xinneng Ship Technology Co., Ltd., Hanli Xinneng (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., and Jiaxing Weichai Product Sales & Service Co., Ltd.
The partnerships cover key areas of the methanol-hydrogen marine industry chain, including power systems, fuel supply, and operation and maintenance services.
YADA Green Energy Solutions also established a three-party strategic partnership with the Nanhu Integrated Air-Ground Transportation Industry Research Institute and the Yangtze River Delta (Jiaxing) Specialized and Innovative Enterprise Service Base.

In addition, five customers, including Zhejiang Dingli Shipping Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Duobang Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., signed procurement agreements at the event.


From Product Delivery to Ecosystem Building
From the delivery of its first product to the establishment of the industry alliance, and from new product launches to ecosystem development, YADA is taking a major step from "single-point breakthroughs" to "systematic development" through a dual approach of practical action and industry-wide collaboration.

The establishment of the Zhejiang Methanol-Hydrogen Marine Industry Technology Innovation Alliance marks a new milestone in YADA's development of methanol-hydrogen marine solutions and its efforts to build a more integrated and collaborative industrial ecosystem.
